texas bluebonnets

For the last few weeks or so Texas has turned a vivid green and been spread with a blanket of bluebonnets. They're such a beautiful introduction to spring!

Unfortunately, most of the flowers line large highways, busy roads, and fenced in properties, but I finally found a huge patch that was pedestrian accessible. I hope to get back there with Brandon for some glamour shots...but we'll see if that happens before they're gone.

Blue bonnets always remind me of a book or something we read in elementary school. I would LOVE to frolic through a field of real ones. :)

Eee!!! I love bumble bees!!! That's a great shot, especially with the complimentary colors! What kind of camera are you using??

I know Sar! They kind of remind me of that book about "lupines." Do you remember that one? Not sure if that's it or not.

Laura: Thanks! I just have a low-level Canon DSLR body (the Rebel T1i) but I vamped it up with a kick-a lens. It's the Canon EF 24-70 2.8L.
