a river runs through it: the tiber
The Tiber, Rome, Italy.
According to legend, the city of Rome was founded in 753 BC on the banks of the Tiber.
This is the fourth installment in my "a river runs through it" series, featuring great cities and places with great rivers running through them as arteries of commerce and culture. Included so far are: The Cam, La Seine, and the lake I grew up on.

eating local
We're trying a local farm CSA (Community Support Agriculture) membership this spring, where we are supplied with local farm fresh vegetables weekly. The Home Grown Farm is just outside of Waco, and lets you choose what produce you'd like instead of having a roulette of sorts. I'm excited to try this out and see how it works. I've been wanting to eat more local produce, and to eat more seasonally and organically, so this sort of forces me to do all of those things without too much planning on my part. We will see.
